Applicants for the following subjects must register for and take an admissions assessment:

Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology – Engineering and Science Admissions Test (ESAT)

Computer Sciences – Test of Mathematics for University Admissions (TMUA)

Economics –Test of Mathematics for University Admissions (TMUA)

Engineering –Engineering and Science Admissions Test (ESAT)

Law – National Test for Law (LNAT). Mature students can apply to Law in October and as part of the second application round in March. To apply in March, you must take the LNAT by 1st March 2025. Deadlines for October applicants can be found here.

Medicine (including Graduate Entry Medicine) – University Clinical Aptitude Test (UCAT)

Natural Sciences – Engineering and Science Admissions Test (ESAT)

Veterinary Medicine –Engineering and Science Admissions Test (ESAT)

 

Other subjects

All applicants for AMES with a European language, Archaeology, Architecture, Classics, Design, English, Geography, History and Modern Languages, History, History and Politics, History of Art, HSPS, Linguistics, Mathematics, Maths with Physics, MML, Music, and Philosophy will be set a test if invited to interview.
