Mathematics

Director of Studies: Professor Benedikt Löwe (for Parts IA, 1B and II) Dr Jose Siqueira (Pt III, optional Integrated Masters)

Course Overview

St Edmund’s has quite a strong community in the Mathematics Faculty. There are a few mature undergraduates, several Part III students and also some graduate students. The numbers vary from year to year. A wide range of nationalities is usually represented. The maths students at St Edmund’s support each other and tend to get high grades, often with several distinctions for Part III.

There is further information about the course on the University and Faculty webpages.

Entry Requirements

Applications from mature students taking A levels are welcome. We do not consider the Access to HE course alone as adequate preparation for this course. Candidates wishing to apply for the affiliated course are strongly advised to contact the college before applying. Entry requirements can be found here.

Admissions Assessment

Applicants will be asked to take a written assessment a week or so before interview. You will be registered for the assessment by us if you are invited to interview; candidates do not need to register themselves.
